Charles & Hortencia Loggins

 Owners Instructors

Ballroom - Swing - Country - Latin

Charles & Hortencia Loggins are the owners and instructors at the studio. They have been dancing together for approximately 30 years. They met at Lavonia Bellah’s Dance Studio in Ft. Worth, where they took lessons for over 20 years from some of the best instructors in the area.

They became best friends and dance partners during this time. They have been married for the past 18 years and still work on perfecting their dance skills.

Seventeen years ago they moved to Peaster which is just outside of Weatherford, Texas.
From their enjoyment of dancing, they opened the C & H Dance Studio, originally One Step At a Time Dance Studio. It started as mainly a fun, hobby, but is now one of the most rapid growing dance studios in the area. The studio has been in business for five years and doubling in size every year.

Charles & Hortencia specialties lie in the areas of ballroom, swing, Latin, and Country Western. They are qualified to teach from basic steps to the very advanced steps in each category.

Charles brings to the studio vast experience in instruction, having recently retired after 39 years of teaching in the public schools of Texas. He won numerous prestigious teaching awards during this time. Charles and Hortencia’s main teaching attributes are patience and positive reinforcement.

Bryan and Jasmine’s marriage has been built around dancing. Bryan started dancing about 11 years ago. Since that time, Bryan has had the opportunity to learn from and work with some of the best in the dance business including coaches seen on Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. Jasmine has had a passion for dancing her whole life. She danced through high school and ultimately started Salsa dancing for recreation. Bryan and Jasmine have been dancing together just under 2yrs. They are very excited about being at C&H Dance Studio and are continuing to seek out top coaches across the country to improve their dancing and how they teach material to new students. As for teaching dance, they have two goals for their students.

Their first goal is to make the process of learning to dance fun, easy and comfortable. They follow a professionally developed syllabus that creates structure in how material is presented. New material is introduced in a logical and systematic format that is easy to learn and remember. The syllabus provides students with a roadmap of their dancing so that they can not only see where they are in their dancing, but where they are headed at all times no matter what their specific goals are. Bryan and Jasmine recognize different people need to be taught differently, but having such a roadmap insures that no one should feel lost.

Their second goal is to help new dancers experience the benefits of dancing that often go unnoticed and un-talked about in the popular press. Everyone talks about fun and fitness and those things are fantastic. What is missed is that dancing provides an opportunity for people to connect with other people which our fast paced world often makes difficult. Whether that connection is to meet other people socially, lay a foundation for a new relationship or spice a relationship that has grown stale over time, dancing has the ability to do all of that.  It is their sincere desire to share these experiences with everyone.
